If there is a longing in your heart for more than your present condition, this longing should lead to the one who alone is able to satisfy it, Jesus Christ. Learn of His humble birth in a trough; in a barn with the cows, chickens and goats, to His healing ministry here on earth, and then to the cross.
Love for God, zeal for His glory, and love for fallen humanity, (love for you), brought Jesus to earth to suffer and to die. This was the controlling power of His life. This principle He bids us to adopt. Learn of His humble, selfless ministry for others.
This book has been such a blessing in my life! I recommend it to anyone who wants a real walk with God.
I really love the way things are put: (Chapter 1) “Our little world is the lesson book of the universe.” Now if that doesn’t give a person goosebumps read on. (Chapter 7) “The parents of Jesus were poor, and dependent upon their daily toil. He was familiar with poverty, self-denial, and privation. This experience was a safeguard to Him.” that really speaks to me when life deals a poor hand. The chapter “Among Snares” was awesome. I really liked the way the author stated, “The perception and appreciation of truth, He said, depends less upon the mind than upon the heart.” As the closing chapters portray the final events of Christ’s life so the excitement, color, and pathos of the book increases. When you finish the book you will feel you have personally met, been with, and learned from Jesus. The writing is so simple yet beautiful.
This is one of the best book on the life of Jesus I have ever read. The language is so graphic that it makes you feel like you are right there. Its really inspirational and quite informative.
I have read Great Controversy and Desire of Ages, along with God’s Answer’s to Your Questions. These books will give you so much knowledge about the scriptures and religious history. Caution: Great Controversy is not for the faint of heart!
What a heart warming story of Jesus. Reading this book along with the scripture references makes Jesus so close and relevent to my daily living.
I have read this book over and over again. It opened my eyes as to how much God loved me and wanted to save me. I learned how to have a saving relationship with God by reading it. I would recommend it to anyone who really wants to get to know Jesus and what He has done for them.
This is a beautiful book on the life of Christ. Reading this book inspired me to read my Bible again and again.
It is good to know that when discouragement and disappointment loom highest is when divine help is nearest. This book has greatly encouraged my walk with Christ. Indeed He loves us. I recommend it to everyone.
Best book next to the Bible. In it I found the heart of God. Seeing His passion for each of us changed my life.
