February 18th – Grace
Grace is an attribute given to undeserving human beings we did not seek after it. it was sent in search of ous. God rejoices to bestow grace upon all who hunger and thurst after it, not because we are worthy, but because we are unworthy. Our need is the qualification which gives us the assurance that we shall receive the gift. SC
February 14th - THE TENDER LOVE OF GOD
“God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Romans 5:8 God demonstrates His love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us…for when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son.
Such love is without a parallel.
The matchless love of God for a world that did not love Him!
The thought has a subduing power upon the soul and brings the mind into captivity to the will of God.
The more we study the divine character in the light of the cross, the more we see mercy, tenderness, and forgiveness blended with equity and justice, and the more clearly we discern innumerable evidences of a love that is infinite and a tender pity surpassing a mother’s yearning sympathy for her wayward child. {SC 15.2}
